NoBo is my attempt at a calmer, more honest corner of the internet. You record videos inside the app instead of uploading them, so what you see is grounded in something that actually happened. Nothing here is built to keep you scrolling. It’s not perfect, and I’m not going to pretend it is. It’s a direction. And you can be early.
Every feed is filling up with AI-generated stuff, fakes, and posts built to farm your attention. And slowly you stop being able to tell what actually happened. On top of that, a few enormous companies get to decide what you see and how long you stay. That quietly breaks the whole point of it, honestly.
I’m Oliver. I’m 19, and I’m building this alone, with no investors and no one to answer to but the people who use it. I’m not building NoBo to sell it. I’m building it because I want it to exist. Somewhere that feels grounded again.
There’s no upload button and no gallery. The only way a video gets onto NoBo is by recording it inside the app. That one rule is pretty much the whole thing. It’s not a promise I’m asking you to trust. It’s just how it’s built.
No uploads, no camera-roll picks. A moment goes in through the lens, or it doesn’t go in at all.
No infinite scroll built to trap you. No algorithm quietly tuned to your weakness. Every session is allowed to end.
The feed isn’t rigged to push anyone’s agenda. And it can’t be bought, not even by me. Nobody pays to jump the line.
I’m never selling your data. Not to advertisers, not to brokers, not to anyone. NoBo isn’t built to watch you. The day it sells you out is the day it stops being NoBo.
It’s free, and it stays free. NoBo is for everyone, not just people who can pay. I think truth shouldn’t cost money. One day it’ll be paid for by people who choose to support it and a few sponsors I actually believe in, never by selling you, and never by letting anyone buy their way up the feed.
I’m never selling it to Big Tech. No investors, no board, no exit plan. If a giant offer ever shows up, the answer is no. And I’ll say so out loud.

iPhone only for now. The whole thing rests on recordings being genuine, and Android is way easier to fake the camera on. iPhone has stricter checks I can lean on. Android comes later, done right or not at all.
NoBo is a mobile social app for iPhone. You record videos directly in the app and share them to your NoBo profile. Every video is captured live with the in-app camera, and there are no uploads from your photo library. That is how NoBo keeps its feed grounded in real recordings.
You can also connect your own accounts on other platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, and choose, per video, to publish a video you recorded in NoBo to those accounts at the same time (cross-posting). Connecting an account is optional and only ever publishes the specific videos you choose. You can disconnect any connected account at any time in the app’s settings.
